Learn More About Amarillo Virtual Academy

Amarillo Virtual Academy (AVA) is Amarillo ISD's online solution to helping students chart their success path around their busy schedules. AVA has been teaching students online since 2002, having joined Texas Virtual School Network (TxVSN) in 2008 as one of six online schools in the state. As a member of TxVSN, we are able to offer nearly every course a student needs to graduate high school in Texas.

AVA courses are homegrown, developed and taught by Amarillo ISD teachers. We offer 16 of these courses to students locally and in the Region at reduced rates.

TxVSN adds dozens of other courses developed and taught by other districts or third-party providers in the state, giving our students as rich an experience as possible.

Amarillo Virtual Academy Registration and Costs Information

• Registration for Fall 2020 AVA courses will be open July 20, 2020 through August 28, 2020. AVA Fall 2020 classes are held August 24, 2020 through December 18, 2020.
• Registration for Spring 2021 AVA courses will be open December 7, 2020 through January 4, 2021. AVA Spring 2021 classes are held January 4, 2021 through May 28, 2021.
• Registration for Summer 2021 AVA courses will be open May 3, 2021 through June 4, 2021. Classes are held May 31, 2021 through July 23, 2021.
